Ten Awardees Receive $10,000 Honoring Mental Health Recovery

Oct. 10, 2024 — Metabolic Mind, a nonprofit initiative of Baszucki Group, is proud to announce ten recipients of the 2024 Fresh Start Award. Each of the individuals selected has demonstrated extraordinary resilience in their journey toward mental health recovery through ketogenic therapy and will receive $10,000 to support future goals in advocacy, education, and personal or professional development.

Baszucki Group Announces Martin Picard, PhD as Inaugural Recipient of $1.5 Million Baszucki Prize in Science

March 5, 2024 — Baszucki Group announced that Columbia University's Martin Picard, PhD, is the first to receive the new Baszucki Prize in Science. Dr. Picard, Associate Professor of Behavioral Medicine in Psychiatry and Neurology, received the $1.5 million prize for his groundbreaking work connecting brain energetics and mitochondria to the human experience.

Baszucki Brain Research Fund Announces Metabolic Psychiatry Fellow Dr. Iain Campbell

December 7, 2022 — The Baszucki Brain Research Fund is proud to announce Dr. Iain Campbell as its first Metabolic Psychiatry Research Fellow. During the four-year fellowship and through an investment of $380,000, Dr. Campbell will extend the University's current research program on ketogenic metabolic therapy for bipolar disorder to include mechanistic controlled clinical trials.
