Meanwhile, research into diet-based treatments remains deprioritized and underfunded, so promising leads are ignored, leaving citizen scientists to drive critical awareness and advancements in metabolic health research.

The Cholesterol Code, written by Dave Feldman and Jennifer Isenhart, and executive produced by Jan Ellison Baszucki, follows an everyday citizen leading a pioneering study on a surprising group: lean, fit, healthy individuals who all have one thing in common; their doctors are sure they’ll die young. This provocative film challenges conventional wisdom and sparks critical conversations about metabolic and mental health. The film will be available in 2025.
