Regenerative Agriculture

We support initiatives that work to restore the integrity of the earth’s soil and ecosystems through farming practices that improve food and climate. We believe that aligning our food systems with the cycles of nature can restore our soil, health, farms, and planet.

Our Work

The health of our planet’s topsoil is essential for food security and climate stability. Regenerative agriculture restores soil integrity by sequestering carbon, revitalizing ecosystems, removing harmful chemicals, respecting animal welfare, and producing safe, nutritious food. Farmers worldwide are improving yields through practices like eliminating tillage and pesticides, planting cover crops, promoting biodiversity, and integrating animals with holistic grazing methods. Transitioning farmland to regenerative practices and replacing industrial farming systems can transform food systems, prevent chronic disease, reverse desertification, and combat climate change. We support individuals and coalitions amplifying the impact of regenerative agriculture through storytelling and farmland transitions.

We support individuals and projects that are amplifying the power and possibility of regenerative agriculture through storytelling. We also support coalitions working to transition farmland to regenerative practices.

Common Ground

Common Ground is a rousing and uplifting feature-length documentary that shows a pathway to transform our unhealthy industrial agricultural food system into an ecological way of growing food that can restore our health, our communities, and our climate. The film chronicles the budding “Regenerative Agriculture” movement, a type of farming based on working with nature, instead of against it.

Our founder, Jan Ellison Baszucki, is an Executive Producer on the film, which premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival and received the Human/Nature Award, a prize established to amplify a film that best exemplifies solution-oriented environmental storytelling. It has been viewed more than 150,000 times in theaters around the world, and will be streaming soon. It is the sequel to the documentary Kiss the Ground, created by directors Josh Tickell and Rebecca Tickell which debuted in September 2020 and was also supported by Baszucki Group.

Supported by actors Laura Dern, Jason Momoa, Rosario Dawson, Woody Harrelson, Ian Somerhalder, Donald Glover and more, Common Ground’s impact goal is to transition 100M more acres of U.S. land to regenerative.
